‘Been such a while since i last posted so i am writing something out of nothing’ kind of post

I love my sisters. They remind me of the many wonderful things I am lucky to have in life.

Roughly a year ago, I submitted a simple list of goals I wanted to achieve one year from now to 43things and today I got a suprise reminder from this nifty site. Sort of like a progress report. I am doing pretty good - I rarely drink on night outings and I am sleeping more. Now where do i need to go to enroll in a Korean class?

Blown away by the city of wind

I just got back from a short, three days trip to Chicago. It was a much needed getaway. I hadn’t really have a good break ever since I graduated last May (I started my first job three days after the grad. ceremony). So yeah, I badly wanted to see some dolphins, brick towers and get myself some delicious Peking ducks.

Chicago is an easy city to fall in love with. There are plenty of good food and places to go. It’s not too big, most people are generally nice and you can see anti-Bush demonstrations here and there. The weather is not extreme except for a few drops of rains on our last day there. It’s perfect.

I have added some photos that will better explain the trip :). As some of you might have noticed, I’ve also added a little bit of colors back into Daily Misery. Hopefully it will brightens your day up.

Ah, remind me to put some loves on the portfolio and header section. The ‘tubes’ joke is getting old.

Some of you were kind enough to remind me about the lack of web development related posts lately. Well, you know what, I actually have a bunch of web topics to share with everyone. Mostly are things that I’d picked up while working on UNL’s Event Publishing System. I just need to find the time to actually sit down and write and implement a demo page with all the codes nicely packaged. You know you’re are going to ask for that :P. Until then, I can only give you a list of possible titles…

  • Combinatorial effects with time callback using Adobe’s spry framework
  • Ajax with Java Applet
  • A proper way to do javascript closures
  • Predictive fetch based on cookies registration
