Life of David Gale.
David Gale: We spend our whole life trying to stop death. Eating, inventing, loving, praying, fighting, killing. But what do we really know about death? Just that nobody comes back. Then there comes a point - a moment - in life when your mind outlives its desires, its obsessions, when your habits survive your dreams, and when your losses… Maybe death is a gift. You want her. All I can tell you is that by this time tomorrow I’ll be dead. I know when. I just cannot say why. You have 24 hours to find out.
Inside Man
Dalton Russell: This time next week I’m gonna be sucking down pina coladas in a hot tub with six girls named Amber & Tiffany.
Keith Frazier: No, it’s more like in the shower with Jamal & Jesus.. and that thing you are sucking, it aint a pina colada.
Both are really nice movies. The first is a smart and thought provoking movie with an unexpected ending. The second has high entertainment value and everyone loves Denzel Washington.
Time for the interesting links again.
Update: One more cool link. If I buy a macbook pro in near future, I want this comes bundled with it.
I found it! Yep, V for Vendetta’s egg in a basket recipe.
Cooking this breakfast dish is pretty straightforward. As you can see from the movie, it’s basically an egg fried within a piece of bread.
Firstly, cut a circular hole in the centre of the piece of bread. I’d suggest that you use a glass and press it firmly above the bread in order to get the perfect round hole if you know what I mean. After that, pan fry the bread on both sides with butter till its golden-brown.
Crack an egg into the ‘basket’ hole that you just created and cook it till you think it’s just right. Remember to flip the bread both sides so that your egg is evenly fried. Add a dash of salt if you want or some jam to enhance the flavour.
Don’t thank me, thank HinChing

In my desktop world, Barney is not that friendly at all.

If every softwares prepare a user-friendly, funny and thoughtful defensive design (like adium does here), maybe users will be more apologetic, rather than going ‘oh fuck!’
I hope you will like it as much as I do. :)
Let me paint you the picture of my today’s life.
Woke up at 6.50 a.m. Reached university at 7.45. Read US Today in the coffee lounge while sipping my hot chocolate. Headed to the office at 8. Very busy today, a lot of work but fun. Took a break, read a few emails and feeds. This dude thought I wrote a good chinese entry :). I know a couple of people is going to Laugh Out Loud on that. Looks like Wonderwall theme is very well received by the community although I should’ve cleaned things up before releasing it. Oh well~
Got back around 5 ish, checked my mail box - no bills - wee! Wired and Detail magazine arrived today - wee! Washed up and got ready to go to Swee Ling’s house for dinner. Yummy chinese food and a good movie (BASIC). Got home around 11, many IM messages blinking. Note to self: turn off your pc before you leave. After a short while, Huinee brought over some kuih (rice cake?) that she made. Finish all five pieces in half an hour - yummy! She told me earlier to come over this weekend to try out some of her new dishes.
Of course, it isn’t the same sequence of events everyday. But it happens often enough to make me realize I am constantly surrounded by a great, great bunch of companies and friends. I felt pampered and spoilt everyday :). One might say I’m easily pleased; I would like to think I’m a grateful person.
No one gets killed. I didn’t save the world (as much as I want to). Sometimes I think I lead a charmed life.

Another great alternative band all the way from Japan. Check out the song Kizuna.
A sneak peak at my new blog design…

Soon, it will be soon.
Also another thing, I’d seen quite a few people got the Wonderwall theme working, which is great. I do want to apologize for the unpolished codes (seems like some of you were having trouble making it work too :(…). Hopefully those who managed to get it works can help out with the support questions in that post, CoXiS forum and the wordpress forum. My big ass thank you goes out to all.
Also, it would be nice if we can start seeing some variations or design derivations from the theme. I included the psd in the package, partly because I am waiting to be amazed. So if you have time, please play around with the black header and the puppy icon. We don’t want another kubrick’s explosion in the Wordpress-sphere. ;)
Again, thank you.
Things might get wacky here tonight…….
In the mean time, you can check out these variants of the Wonderwall theme.
United 93 was a stressful movie. I got out of the cinema thinking this is one of those movie I will not watch again. Should had gone for Ice Age 2. I could use some laughters this weekend. Oh well~
Woke up at 11 on Sunday. One of these days I have to make it to the church. Had a quick ramen for lunch. Went out at 3 with a gal friend for ice cream session. Green tea flavored ice cream was missing from the menu again (DAMN IT!) but banana and mango ice cream never taste so good together.
Went to China Inn at 5 for an early dinner. As always, there was leftover. In our next life, we will be reincarnated as one of those dying, hungry African kids. Later we hit Scooters to study (well, she studied, I read boring book). Apparently she had some relationship problems. People always said I’m a great listener, but I am never a good problem-solver. So when friends and family members share their problems with me, they are actually talking to a person who never talks back. But they always seem relief, if not a wee bit happy after talking to me. Those damn shrinks sure make easy money. I am opening up my own practice soon.
Another week, another story.
